THE IMUNZI PROJECT
Fighting HIV and stigma since 2015
IMUNZI AT A GLANCE
The IMUNZI project was founded in 2015 as a partnership project between International Medical Cooperation Committee (IMCC) from Denmark, United Children of Africa (UNICA) based in Victoria Falls and Zimbabwe Medical Students Association (ZIMSA). The IMUNZI project is focused on fighting HIV and breaking down stigma regarding HIV and mental health through peer-to-peer education and activities.

ACTIVITIES
Bringing Change

5K FUN RUN/WALK IN HARARE
On the 14th of March 150 young people joined together to run/walk the "IMUNZI route" through campus. The event was buzzing with good vibes, hot dance moves and interesting knowledge on both HIV and mental health. Do you want to attend the next run or help planning it? Join the IMUNZI project now and follow us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!

HIV CAMP
CANCELLED DUE TO CORONA VIRUS
On the 3rd of April the first HIV camp in 2020 will take place in Victoria Falls! In the first 3 days, medical students from ZIMSA will teach the Youth Ambassadors (YAs) from UNICA in HIV and mental health. These empowered YAs will then go on to do peer-to-peer education and teach the local youth about these pressing issues. Join us in the fight to end HIV and stigmatization.

SPREADING AWARENESS
At IMUNZI, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the issue concerning lack of knowledge on HIV and mental health. Spreading awareness is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
